Today was my last day student teaching. I was so sad! before lunch my cooperating teacher and the class through me a surprise party! I walked into the classroom and everyone said "surprise" haha it was so cute!
I sat in a chair up front and my cooperating teacher handed me a huge cake that said "We love you Miss Hirschi!" Then every single student gave me a hug and gave me something special. many students gave me cards and I loved that! Other students gave me some things for my new classroom, I got a lot of Hershey candy bars, I got christmas decorations. I GOT A TON OF STUFF! it was so fun. i couldnt control my emotions, i was crying like a baby. I am going to miss this 3rd grade. They are so lovable! Some students in class were crying and that made me cry even more. I had a wonderful experience. I really am going to miss them all!
I am "trying" to study for the praxis test but i just cant get myself to study for very long, im worn out. I take that tomorrow and then I head back to Neola. I start my new job, teaching 5th grade on Monday.
Life is good.

The Prospective Teacher
*A UVU professor showed me this and I think it is so true!
After being interviewed by the school administration, the prospective teacher said: 'Let me see if I've got this right. 'You want me to go into that room with all those kids, correct their disruptive behavior, observe them for signs of abuse, monitor their dress habits, censor their T-shirt messages, and instill in them a love for learning. 'You want me to check their backpacks for weapons, wage war on drugs and sexually transmitted diseases, and raise their sense of self esteem and personal pride. 'You want me to teach them patriotism and good citizenship, sportsmanship and fair play, and how to register to vote, balance a checkbook, and apply for a job. 'You want me to check their heads for lice, recognize signs of antisocial behavior, and make sure that they all pass the final exams. 'You also want me to provide them with an equal education regardless of their handicaps, and communicate regularly with their parents in English, Spanish or any other language, by letter, telephone, newsletter, and report card. 'You want me to do all this with a piece of chalk, a blackboard, a bulletin board, a few books, a big smile, and a starting salary that qualifies me for food stamps. 'You want me to do all this and then you tell me. . . I CAN'T PRAY? That is the job teachers are expected to do!

That Horrible smell
As I got into my Jeep today, I noticed there was a very gross gross gross smell. I almost threw up. Well as I was driving I was looking everywhere trying to find what in the world was making my jeep smell so horrible.
I drove with the windows down.
When I got out, I went to the back to get some bags out, and I noticed a MOUSE in my JEEP in the very back! I instantly started screaming and sweating bullets because if there is anything I hate in this world, it would be mice. If there is anything that I hate more in this world than mice, it would be a dead mouse in the back of my jeep!
So I ran into my apartment and told my heroic roomie, Lisa, and she went and got it out of my jeep. Thanks to Lisa, I can sleep tonight.
P.S dont judge me, I am a clean car keeper, im a Interior Car Detailer for cryin out loud! Why in the world did that stupid mouse want in my Jeep???? If I ever find out that it was a dirty trickster who put that dead mouse in my car, some one is going the right way for a smack bottom!

We're Goin to Jackson, Why dontcha comb your hair
This is what I did at family camp:
My sister is over 4-H mentoring and she had to help with family camp in jackson hole. My family along with my grandma and my moms sisters family, all went to this camp. We had fun! We went river rafting down the snake river, site seeing at yellowstone, hung out in Jackson Hole, and much more. Good times.
BarJ
Dinner and a show! Good food, good show, good company!
Grand Teton
Old Faithful. Blew me away, literally.
Our New Friend We Met in Jackson Hole.
Family Camp!
Water volleyball. We kicked Their Trash.
*The highlight of the trip was river rafting down the snake river! It had more rapids on this river and THEY WERE HUGE RAPIDS than I have ever experienced before. SO much fun!

Room Makeover
Out with the old....
Danny helping me take out my old wood bed along with all the other junk!
In with the new....
New black bed from RC Willey with black night stand! Along with fresh painted walls. I did one wall green and all the other walls a light cream color.
*Black and Green is the best color combo ever. My room is now green and black instead of green and purple!*

I forgot to tell you about Hector
Let me tell you about a dude named Hector.
So the story goes like this. I sat down on my seat on the plane and a man came and sat right next to me. I noticed that he didnt speak hardly any English, so I got my book out and wrote "Hola, como esta?" (I dont even know if that is correct spanish) he chuckled and then we started talking. We talked for 5 hours on the plane, it made the plane ride go by so fast. Come to find out, Hector has been in Japan for 12 years working and he was on his way home to Peru. He was very interesting and he cracked me up because he would say "oh nikki nikki nikki" when i didnt understand what he was saying. Anyways, it was alot of fun and we exchanged email addresses and he has been emailing me, in spanish! hahah so i have to get it translated, but he is a very nice dude. I love peruvians!
Peru was so wonderful and i have a billion pictures, but this is a funny picture! This is Elder Hirschi In the mens Bathroom. (No i didnt take this picture, Elder Nemelka took it)HAHA! if you cant laugh at this, then get the heck out!

My Trip to Peru
is by far the most gorgeous place I have ever been to in my entire life. Not only was the scenery absolutely amazing, the people there are sooo sweet! I fell in love with the little kidsSouth America
Machupicchu was SO GORGEOUS! I cant explain how pretty it was. We hiked up the mountain, kenny is pointing to what mountain we will hike,
after much stuggling to get to the top, we arrived at the top with an outstanding view that i cannot explain.
It was such a wonderful trip, i wish i could post all 379 pictures that i took in peru but that would take too much time of mine and too much time of yours to look through them all. But I will say that the people are beautiful and friendly,
